Enrico Nicodemo, in arte Demo'
Born 12/12/1966 in Sicilì, in the province of Salerno, but lives in Milan.
Has created many works of art, several of which have been acquired by private collectors or galleries.
Various exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad.
His principal passion is painting, and from a very young age he has
dedicated himself to art, experimenting with various pictorial techniques.
His preferred technique is oil painting with a spatula, alternating with acrylic colours.
Lover of music, all music, but classical music in particular.
Plays the piano and guitar, and composes musical pieces together with his friends.
Music is for him a source of inspiration for creating pictures, and vice versa.
A lover of air and light, he uses various means of expression, starting from realistic forms to reach a forceful, sometimes even a violent statement, arriving finally at a point where rigorous control of form allows emotion to become symbolic.
His work is extraordinarily powerful, and contains an irresistible intellectual charge, always ready to burst forth.
His painting reveals moods, moments from everyday life, thoughts, fantasies.
His pictures are imbued with concealed emotion; for the artist, the importance lies in leading the mind beyond that which the eyes observe, in knowing how to tell us of his joy in living, his love for the world.
Art, in all its forms, represents something very difficult to define.
Something subtle, arising from the depths of the soul.....sensations which obscure everything around you!
The inspiration of a magical moment.....I feel as though I'm living in another world, inhabited only by the blank canvas and an immensity of colours which have to mix and mingle with each other.
It is in this world that I find my peace, and where I satisfy my soul ...Demo'

He has had various exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad, which have met with notable success and excellent reviews.

A short summary of my works which I have managed to catalogue throughout the years.
They start in 1986.....at least those which I have managed to recall!
From a classical style, which was painting landscapes and other subjects with a classical brush, we arrive in the present, where the spatula takes precedence over the brush.
I now use it only to sign my work!
The spatula.....a complex of emotions; feeling the paint running rapidly across the canvas.
This has become my Art!
Among his initiatives in August of 2006, in his native village of Sicilì (Salerno), with the support of the Mayor of the Comune of Morigerati "D'Elia Cono" he inaugurated and founded the 1st anniversary of " Artesicili ".
The aim of this initiative is to bring above all young people closer to the world of art, and at the same time to make this village a meeting-place in the month of August for all the artists who wish to come and exhibit their works, and adorn the summer evenings.
I invite you to visit this site and to take part in the exhibitions and extemporisations which will be organised:
